This is a Slightly-Bonkers.Net production.
Closed or adopted out.
Sometimes life conspires against you. And in those situations, you either have to close a fanlisting or adopt it out to someone else. They will always be sad occasions, but they can also be quite necessary.

In the following cases, it's either a matter of not having enough time anymore (whether it be building or maintaining), or not being able to, in good conscience, keep it to myself.

Games
Yahoo! Games: This was going to be the very first fanlisting I ever built! I made the layout, the content, made my first attempt at using PHPFanBase, and everything else. I hadn't applied at the stage, as I wanted to be sure I could actually make a fanlisting before I bothered. Obviously, I could. So I applied. And then found out it wasn't a valid subject and was told to apply in Websites. And found out it wasn't valid there either. XD Bummer.

Musicians: Female
Chanel Cole: Ah, Chanel, Chanel! Fell in love with this girl at her first audition for the second season of 'Australian Idol.' She was so quirky and adorable, and had one of the loveliest voices around. Each consecutive week on the show had me admiring her more and more, her song choices just spectacular (and introducing me to some great musicians I'd never heard of before!). As disappointed as I was when she was eliminated from the show, I was determined to build her fanlisting! So I did. :) Then I started hearing news about concerts she was in and an album she was recording with Spook and Daniel Belle, and I was so excited! Unfortunately, when the album came out, while I enjoyed it a lot, I found I wasn't as much a fan of her new stuff, and didn't feel right holding a fanlisting for a subject I didn't love completely and utterly. On closing, this fanlisting was two years and two months old. *patpat*

Songs: Bands/Groups
'Bedshaped' by Keane: I was originally approved for this song after many months of an enormous backlog in this category. I think all the time between applying and being approved, my love for it was given an opportunity to settle. So while I still love the song, and had a painful time sending in a Closed form, at least someone else with an immense love for the song had their own chance. :)

'Explosive' by Bond: The first time I heard this song was when it was introduced as the official themesong for the 2004 Athens Summer Olympics. I remember being utterly captivated by the snippets they would play during the commercials, and when the Olympics started, it was blasting all over the place! I've always loved the violin. The deep, resonating sound of it. The sheer power in every note it plays for you. *sigh* Pretty. Anyway, after getting hooked, I searched up the name of the song and the band, and there they were! Eventually I got around to applying for the fanlisting, and loved it as best I could for just two days short of two whole years. I'll always love 'Explosive' and smile whenever I hear it. ♥

Songs: Various
'Shadow' by Dominic Monaghan: Dude, this song is hot. :D I would not mind having Dom Monaghan stalking me, I'm telling you now. When I discovered 'Pandemoniumfromamerica' (a collaboration between Viggo Mortensen and Buckethead, with feature vocals by Dom and Elijah Wood), my mind boggled. When I heard this song in particular, I think I melted to my chair. It's dark and creepy and just downright sexy! In that weird, obsessiony way it has. When the opportunity arose to adopt it, I jumped at the chance and was given the honour of being selected by Shirasade. Over time, though, I've found myself not being such a huge fan of dear Dom, and the song has consequently lost some of its attraction. I can't imagine ever disliking this song, but I just don't love it enough to justify keeping it anymore. All up (including the time it was in Shirasade's loving care), this fanlisting was open for a total of two years and eight months.
